Ha. Joy, I can relate. It was so long! I kept reading and reading and didn’t make a dent in the book … but after a month I made it to the end finally. I will look for your review. I think it’s a good one to discuss with a book group. I hope your discussion went well.

I agree Jane. The cartooning seemed right for Demon. And how I wish Demon didn’t take a downward dive after his football injury. But then at the end Angus returns … which is sort of interesting and filled with a bit of hope for Demon.

Hi Stargazer, that would be nuts if Kingsolver won that too. I agree with you — although I liked the novel & Demon, I didn’t overly love love it. I’m not raving mad about it, but it does seem like Kingsolver put a major effort into it and perhaps captured a world there. From the Women’s Prize, I’d still like to read Fire Rush, which I heard others thought was pretty awesome. Another one for the TBR list! Enjoy your weekend there.
