Hi Naomi, yeah I keep waiting for the sailboat movie called The Mercy to come out with Colin Firth. It was first scheduled for Thanksgiving and now it might be March. The Voyage for Madmen was quite an adventurous survival tale, packed with a lot of sailing info too.

Now you have me wanting to read Voyage for Madmen, which I had never heard of before. Maybe I'll watch the movie instead - it has Colin Firth in it, after all. I'm hoping you'll go see it and let us know how it compares to the book!

Hi Katie, thanks for stopping by. Yeah I'm a sucker too for adventurous survival tales and this one fit the bill. It has a lot of background information in it too but it didn't get too slow for me. I learned quite a bit about the sailing routes & geography, and sea. Enjoy, if you get a chance. Cheers.

Hi Laurel, I think you'd like The Party and perhaps Three Billboards though a bit harsh. I was a bit impressed by Alafair Burke, she puts out some entertaining crime mysteries. Enjoy your week.

I read and enjoyed The Ex...and recently downloaded the "follow-up" book, The Wife.

I've also read three books (so far) in a series that Alafair Burke co-wrote with Mary Higgins Clark (the Under Suspicion novels).

The Party sounds like a book I would enjoy.

I want to see Three Billboards...I love anything Frances McDormand does...but any time I've planned to go, something gets in the way!

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.
