My daughter really wants to see Styles in concert but these days, I don’t know if I would just send her with friends. I think he might be sold out anyway but she mentioned it a few times.

I was trying to figure out what would be showing Christmas day as we always see a movie on Christmas day but not much will be out. We will probably end up seeing Star Wars. You know, the fam. I enjoy the movies but the last two were so so.

My tree is finally up. I had no help and wasn’t feeling so great when I did it but it’s up. My dog really likes to sit and watch the light pattern. She’s been gazing at it lovingly.

My son comes home this weekend and will be here for a little bit. My last day of work is 12/19. I cannot wait. I need a good book to kick off the new year but I am not sure what it will be. I do like to think about it a bit.

Hi Brian: Yes, the early polar expeditions have always interested me so much. Ever since I read about Ernest Shackleton’s Endurance expedition, I have been hooked. The Alfred Lansing book about it is a good book to start. But I have not read about Greely before until now.

Thanks Judy. I just went to look at your Christmas cactus on Twitter. Wow it’s beautiful. So pretty the pink flowers. That will make you happy all holiday. We will see how the reading goes this month. We plan to fly to the OC Christmas week to meet up with family and thaw out a bit.
