Hi Ti, I didn’t realize the coyotes are so bold and aren’t afraid of people and they’re in your yard, yikes. The deer get their share of bird seed I think despite us taking in the feeders at night.
We’re on our road trip and get into Calif today … it’ll be nice to see my dad. It seems so warm outside — we were in Vegas yesterday. Enjoy your week.

I have coyotes in my yard these days. Sometimes they startle me when I leave so early for work but they are so used to people that they don’t even blink an eye when they see me.

Hi David, thanks for stopping by and the word about your bird feeders there. You sound like you have a lot of raccoons in your area, which I can see would be tough on the feeders. Our trouble is with deer which actually can stand on their hind legs to eat even the higher feeders, Hmm. So we take them down at night. And the colder it gets, the more deer want the feeders, Lol. Cheers!

Good to know. So far skies look clear. We rolled through part of Montana today and only very little snow mostly on the mountains. Might see SLC tomorrow. Cheers!

We have snow in the mountains up at the ski resorts, but none on the ground in the valleys. Which I’m kind of okay with right now. They say we might get another storm roll in next Sunday, but who knows. Wishing you a safe road trip!

The deer love our bird feeder, too. We raised it so they can’t quite reach, but I do feel bad for them when there’s a bunch of snow. Your highs are pretty cold! We’re off to Montana right after Christmas through New Year’s and the temps predicted are a little scary! Highs in the low 20s and there are a few days where it dips below zero. Yikes! There are fun activities planned at the lodge: ice skating, sledding, ice fishing, ugly sweater karaoke. We’ll see if I do any of the outdoor activities. Hope you have a nice drive down to Southern California and you enjoy your visit!

That’s interesting to hear all the animals you get in your yard. Even deer. I remember when I lived in DC – there was deer there too, which always sort of surprised me. The deer here mostly graze grass … but apparently they like bird seed too! Have a great week.
