Your picks seem good to me. I haven’t finished one yet, but I’m getting there. I’m sure I’ll eventually see Rocketman as I’ve heard the filmmaking is quite inventive for a biopic … and I have liked his music.

My picks would be Disappearing Earth, Necessary People, and Light from Other Stars. Movie-wise, I’d go for Rocketman, due to the hype, and because it’s Elton John at the center.

Thanks Catherine for the word on Disappearing Earth — that’s a bit disappointing, especially that it’s more short story like instead of novel. Argh. I’ll be curious of what you think of Furious Hours and whether it’s worth it. Enjoy your bloom there !

You’ve got some great options ahead! I’m adding Necessary People to my list. I just started Furious Hours so no opinion yet, but I’m about 60% through Disappearing Earth and it’s tough going. The kidnapped girls have only the tiniest relevance to the novel. It is an interesting take on a remote part of the world, but it reads more like short stories than a novel. I’m having trouble pushing through.

We are in full blown spring here and it is gorgeous. My happy place with evrything blooming.

I just asked my library to guy Ask Again, Yes. You know me and my obsession with the burbs.

So snow is not common for your area in May? Right now by me, it’s cloudy and dreary. Not June gloom like but a bit chilly.

Ask Again, Yes is on my TBR list but now that I saw this post, I’m also curious about: Call Me Zebra.
